Venture Capital SA is part of Innovate SA, that helps businesses introduce and use innovative strategies and systems to succeed, by improving their operations or in taking a new product to market.

One of the ways in which companies can grow is through the injection of capital from private investors.  In South Australia, as in all growing economies, private equity is an increasingly important method of injecting funds into businesses so they can grow quicker and produce higher returns than otherwise would be possible.

Venture Capital SA is the specialised unit within the Innovate SA that helps those South Australian businesses who would benefit from private equity investment maximise their opportunities to attract and secure investor interest.

Venture Capital SA also helps to establish private equity funds and encourage Angel Investors within South Australia and bring the companies and investors together.

Many businesses are aware of private equity and investment, but are unsure of how they assist in companies’ plans for establishment or expansion. Venture Capital SA runs workshops and seminars such as the “Equity Ready Program” and “Seminar Series” that cater for businesses looking for equity finance for early-stage or later-stage growth.
